Ryanairs vd Michael O´Leary vill införa ståplatser i flygplanen och menar att säkerhetsbältena är meningslösa.

Det är i den brittiska tidningen The Telegraph som Michael O´Leary beskriver ett flygplan som bara en buss med vingar. Han vill få riva ut de tio bakersta stolsraderna i flygplanen och införa ståplatser för budgetresenärer.

- Om du säger till passagerarna att en stol kostar 25 pund och en ståplats ett pund så är jag säker på att vi säljer ståplatserna först. Ingen tvekan, säger han i intervjun.

Han ser inga säkerhetsrisker. Vid en krasch spelar säkerhetsbältet ingen roll och vid en turbulent landning räcker det att hålla fast i en stropp, menar han.
